We have had frosts in the mornings up at Hawane for the past 2 weeks now, and even though it is warm and sunny (up to 30 degrees) in the day it is freezing in the early morning and at night! I am wrapping up in blankets at the farm as soon as it gets dark! The slippers are on and out come the bed socks!! Funny how it go from cold to hot to cold in a day! We are surrounded by mountains though...
Pre school this morning and today we learnt all about wild animals, and it took a while to convince some children that dogs were not wild animals, and neither were cows. I saw some cows just walking down the motorway this week!
Busy week this week. Update on friday :-)

ReplyDeleteFor some reason I lost my last post :((
ReplyDeleteIt was something about any cow wandering along a motorway must be pretty wild to me!!
Also do you remember you first week? Wearing shorts and everyone else was wrapped in a blanket. You're becoming native. Next 25degrees will be a cool spring day!!
Went to the Church Big Day Out - came back with a sun burnt face & Toby Mac CD's
Love & hugs
Bed Socks??! It's summer here!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to read your blog - certainly an interesting time for you! God Bless.

Hi Katherine hear you got detained? Wassap?
ReplyDeleteWent to see Les Miserables yesterday - absolutely nothing to do with your blog or Swaziland I know - but it was awesome, I just wanted to sit there and watch it all again. Dave P was right!! So challenging.
ReplyDeleteBefore you ask who mentioned detained to dave P - I didn't tell him, but I am worried about the 'other' moments you're going to tell us later.
Still praying, be patient. Remember to check out Jeremiah 29 v 8 - 14 not saying you're a captive!! Just that God will soon reveal the next chapter.
Love you loads
PS
ReplyDeleteI think the "your own land" is important - God has an individual plan and purpose for you, not someone elses. Do you remember about living the dreams God has for you, not other peoples.
I guess that's just how amazing our God is, that he can design an individual blueprint for all of us.

Hi Katherine how are you? We had a great church holiday in Devon. Ian & Lisa and Alice and I have to try to cross into Wales, we are hoping for a trouble free crossing. I think that the border controls there will be straightforward. We have our passports up to date and we have made sure that we have not left them at home. So far so good. Everyone else got home ok except for David & Natalie who risked going further into Cornwall.
ReplyDeleteHi Katherine. Great to hear what you've been up to (trying so hard not to be mean and bring up the passport problems, so shall swiftly move on). Sounds like you are doing loads (presume you are being solar power assisted similar to your skiing?!?). Hope things continue to go well and that in the tough times you know God's support to allow you to stay the course, Chris
